He is the Potter, I am the Clay

Today marks 90 years a remarkable man has been on this earth. He is so humble and the love he shows his bride of almost 70 years is just as remarkable. I feel so blessed to see that relationship and then I see many of the wonderful qualities in his son. Another Gift from the Lord to me.

I have had a very busy week getting ready for the children ,they come tomorrow. I continue to pray for each one each day and have started to pray for 4 schools as well. If your intrested in praying for a school check out www.wmit.org and pick a school. I know powerful things will come from it! Yesterday was my birthday and it was one of the best! I felt so loved it really was a special day.

We are here in Tn and it is so great being here. I feel so happy here . Today a special friend had some surgery please pray for her and that the biopsy comes back negitive. J and D were with us this eve and fixed a wonderful meal. What a treat. God continues to bless me every turn. I am truly thankful. I will remember these sweet times in the days ahead.

Today I made 20 mugs and hope to trim and put handles on them tomorrow. My last big day before going back to school next week. I will be going to Tn. this weekend. While at pottery Carol Dodson , John's wife, came to see if I would like to join her for dinner on her porch. It was such a sweet time and we had such a nice time of fellowship. When I was going back to the studio she gave me a hug. It took me a bit by surprise but I told her I reall y needed that. She smiled a wonderful big smile. She is such a gentle sweet person and I felt honored that she wanted to spend time with me. It was such a lift to my day and I felt hugged by God's own arms. Praise the Lord how he uses his children.

My class room is ready and now all I have left is to schedule and make lesson plans but need a solid list of kids before I can do that. We are looking forward to the Internet service with Sevier Heights this AM we are also looking forward to being in a live service next Sunday, Lord willing! See you then!

M has gone to work in Tenn. today and I too am going to school to try to get my mind back on track on work. I need prayers for the start of the year that I will be a light to my children and that I can love even the most unloveable. Today I thought I would go in and begin to pray for each child by name and spend time lifting them up. It is only with God that I can even begin to reach some of the young people I have.

Back in NC after 6 of the most wonderful days! The first three were so warm with love and welcoming hearts. We found a lovely gift on our bed and sweet card from I believe the sweetest lady I know. It was a time of laughter and fun so relaxing and could just be ourselves and not worry about anything. Thankyou! The next two days were equally filled with love just in a smaller circle of friends. We spent our 30th wedding annversary with 4 of the most delightful young people. Good time,good food, good fellowship. A joy I can't express good enough with words. My heart is so full of the joy and memories to hold and love to draw from when the days ahead get hard. I prasie God for his grace and wisdom to know how to fill me and lift me up when I need it the most.

We are packed and ready to leave for Tn. I am really looking forward to getting away for a few days. I am looking forward to seeing friends and to AC! Ah AC you never know what you miss till you don't have it. I wonder how many things we don't ever relize we have. Now there is something to ponder awhile. Have a wonderful day and see you soon!

Another hot day here. Mike and I sat again in the creek this eve. It is nice and cool and calm down there. I got a new hair-do and it is the shorest my hair has ever been. Kind-of spikie..if thats a word? Not sure its me but it is at least a while while it grows. On the positive side I won't need a hair cut for quite a while!
I had a wonderful time to share the Lord with a young man this morning it was so awsome. I had time to pause and ask God's wisdom and his words. The young man listened and said he still had questions and was going to ask his girl friends dad. They are all christians and I would love for you to pray for Gods wisdom and the Holy Spirt to work in his life. He plans on taking to them Sunday when they return home from a mission trip. God is soooo good all the time!!

Yahoo!! No crown for me at least for now. The crown I had gotten 3 months ago was a bit too high and was hitting the top tooth and making both top and bottom sore he said it was like a bruse. I am sooooo happy. I don't know were you are but is so hot here...teehee. Really today M and I sat in the creek behind the pottery shop after loading the big gas kiln. The electric kiln was also firing so that made it ever hotter in there. The creek felt sooo good. Today is the first day of August. 22 more days before I go back to work. It sure will be different. I will miss the days of sitting in the creek or going on a canoe trip. I did get to see one of my students today at pottery. It will be good to see my kids again and hear about their summer. 3rd-5th graders talk so much more or can express themselves better than my k-2nd graders. Being older...We are really looking forward to being with our church family on Sunday.To worship our Lord together. To feel Gods love though his people. Ahhh. Always good things to look forward to.
