Tomorrow is the last day in January. I opened the kiln today to find that the dishes had made just not the color I was trying for. I got an e-mail from the gal I am making them for and she didn't like the sample I sent her and described the color that came out? I sent her a picture to see if she wanted them. If she does that will be a real God thing with all that went wrong and how long they fired and the color they ended up to be. I was wondering the lesson....It is to trust in him for everything even the color of your pots!
We had a wonderful blessing tonight. D come by pottery and really surprised us. It made our week! Ah we feel loved that he would drive that far out of his way to say hi. We wished we could have taken him out soe where but Brevard is closed after 8. The traffic lights blinks after 8....
Have a great day!

It is really cold today! M and I stayed up watching a kiln that was not firing right until 12:30. It shut down whit a error reading...not a good sign. Usually it would not be a big deal but it was loaded with a whole set of dishes I have been working on since December....Humm must be a lesson in this somewhere. I will let you know when I discover it. I am kind of thick when it comes to learning the lesson.
My mom fell in her home last week and ended up in the ER. Thankfully she didn't break anything. I pray she will come for a visit here so we can help her. Her good friend has been very ill and has not been able to check in on her. M.'s parents are doing ok. We are blessed to have good health and able to help at this time.
John and his wife are going on a trip at the end of the month and we are going to house sit for them. They have a newly remolded bedroom that is next to the creek. You can hear it with the windows closed! I am looking forward to doing something different. We can still check in with the Farley's it is only 4 miles away. Have a great week. SMILE God loves you and me!

Today just flew by. I got lots of pots made and was able to get home by 7pm seems really early and will be nice to just relax. Not that pottery is not relaxing. I did have a special treat. John was giving a tour to a boy scout and I was able to play with Jessie of a little bit. She is such a sweet child. Always happy and loves to play with straws and an empty can. This family has added to itself. A friend from their Sunday school class was moving and they have a daughter that is a senior that didn't want to move. So...she is staying with them. They are very giving people. "That is the news from here today":0)

The weeks go by so fast. We had sleet and Ice yesterday. The roads were ok. A different attitue than I once had. Yea snow day now oh I hope I can get to the shop to make pots. I am learning so much each day. My prayer it that the Lord will use me there in a mighty way. There are so many different people that come thought the shop and studio. I get to listen to 106.9 the Light radio most of the time when I am there. It is such an encouragemt to me to hear God's word being spoken most of the day. J had a post of "Would I be suited to buy an island" it said I would but I know I am not as cool as J and C! Maybe it ment that J and C were and I could visit and spend time with them:0)! I wonder if they make post on the island?? Just kidding.

We have just returned to NC from a trip to Tennessee. We got to dog sit for Walter. Then we were able to go to Church. We get to see it each week on the internet (www.sevierheights.org) but to be there in person is just so.....special. I feel the Holy Spirt in the worship. It is like a revival. It fills me with so much joy to be with the Lord and his children. It is espically wonderful to have J , C and D to worship with together. D, fixed us the best biscuts and soup. It was so kind . We went on a walk down by the river and then a brief time to rest before going back to the Lords house. I had a bad headache all day but it just didn't matter.....Praise the Lord it is gone today!! Tomorrow is "C's" birthday. I am so thankful for her and her sweet spirt and her love for the Lord.

Day three of 2007. This morning I was getting ready to go to pottery and Mike said stop making so much noise (in a kidding way) I asked what he was talking about he said I was humming. I didn't even relize I was. I get up with out dread of the day and am looking forward to what I can learn new. The Lord is so good! I get to talk to the people that come into the shop and can share all I want. I can talk freely. I get to listen to 106.9 the light and listen to good bible teaching. It just don't get much better than that! I made 36 plates today 18 10 inch and 18 6 inch. They are getting better slowly. More later.

Happy New Year 2007! What a difference a day makes. The past two days have been heavy rain and wind. Today was sunny and mild. So beautiful. The flooding made it look as if it were beach front or at least lake front. Very pretty with the sun shinning on it. I went to pottery and then we went to Rick and Lorie's for lunch. Rick worked for Mother Earth News until they closed. He can build just about anything. He built most of the furiture in their home including the home. It was a nice time of fellowship. Something we have really missed since moving here. Tomorrow I plan on getting up at 5:30 and going to pottery around 7....Things will really slow down in the store so there will be lots of time to make things. I made 15 cups today and will need to trim and put handles on. Hope you all have a good day back at work as well. More later.
